The tool has to continue to earn our loyalty.

Education makes that question harder.
Ai can improve the visible output very quickly. But a better-looking text is not automatically evidence of a more capable learner.
The educational outcomes I want to protect are:
- judgement
- authorship
- independent thought
- the ability to work without assistance
- the ability to explain, adapt and defend a choice
Responsible Ai use therefore means more than either accepting everything the machine produces or simply keeping Ai away from learning.
